The Festive Season Ahead

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland.

Well, it’s certainly not snowing in Hawke’s Bay, but Te Mata House sure has plenty of white and is well decked out with Christmas trees and festive lights inside and out! We have truly embraced the Christmas spirit and have gone all out in dressing The Cottage’s Christmas tree with beautiful decorations of native birds and flowers. And in The Old Stables we’ve kept it Scandinavian and brought in the winter wonderland theme.  Our giant Pohutukawa is about to bloom and become part of our festive display, the biggest Christmas tree on site!

This year, Te Mata House is closed for the Christmas period, as Jacqueline will be hosting her large family. It’s going to be a themed ‘white Christmas’. Everyone will be dressed in white to enjoy al fresco styled dining with white tables and umbrellas (photos to come)!

But there’s still time for you to enjoy Te Mata House in all its Christmas cheer before we close for the Christmas period. With all bookings over December, you will be treated with Christmas cookies, bubbles and chocolate. We’d love to share the magic with you so get in quick!

Christmas is an important time of the year for many around the world. It’s a time to play music, sing songs, share what you have, take time to be grateful, be a good neighbour, and give.

We wish you all a very merry Christmas and if we don’t see you before the end of this year, we look forward to welcoming you to Te Mata House in 2022.
