GETTING HERE
Hawke’s Bay is situated on the east coast of the North Island, around six hours drive from Auckland. The nearest airport for domestic and international air transfers is Auckland Airport, while the local Napier Airport offers connections to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Napier Airport is a 25-minute drive to Te Mata House.
Guests who are driving can expect a six hour road trip from Auckland, a four-hour drive from Wellington or a three and a half hour drive from Rotorua.
If coming from Napier, and travelling on Te Mata Mangateretere Road, Te Mata House is 600m on your right on Te Mata Road, the driveway after Te Mata Estate Winery. Follow the drive down to the electric white gates and press the call button.
FROM HAVELOCK NORTH VILLAGE
Leave Havelock North village on Te Mata Road. Drive for approximately 3.4km. As you start to leave residential Havelock North you will see Black Barn on your right-hand side. Approximately 200m further on your left-hand side is the driveway to Te Mata House (before Te Mata Estate Winery). Follow the drive down to the electric white gates and press the call button.
